I'm wondering what would you think if you see a random person wearing sarees in public? Personally, I don't mind wearing sarees in public (only warm climates) and I think they're very beautiful. I really like them and I think I might purchase some in the future. Probably a couple to just wear for the heck of it. There are some casual and non-casual ones. Do you know people (besides Asian Indians) wearing Sarees in public? For those who don't know what sarees are, here is a quick information:
Quote:
A sari or saree or shari is a traditional woman wear in the Indian subcontinent. A sari length is about four to nine metres, that is draped over the body in various styles. The most common style is for the sari to be wrapped around the waist, with one end then draped over the shoulder baring the midriff. Saree sure make woman look very elegent.
Here are some pictures of Aishwarya Rai in Sarees.
I think they are exotic and beautiful, but I do think they look a little odd on women of other ethnicities. Some women can carry the look well, though.
I think they are beautiful too. I stare at them anytime I see them. They make me smile instantly. I don't think I ever saw one on anyone that was not Indian though.
I think they're among the most alluring garments a woman can make but not every woman can carry it off. The three smokin' hotties in the OP most certainly can.

Same lady in all photos... so only one hottie!
I think they are great on Indians... they look silly on others.
I rarely see them in public, but they are really pretty dresses. They do look like formal attire as opposed to casual wear, since they are long. If I saw a woman in a grocery store wearing one I would probably assume she was wearing one because of her ethnic background. But really, it wouldn't bother me, the OP should wear them if that's what she wants.
