Maybe it's because of all the porn, but as a teen I had a preference for tanned skin. I still love a good, natural tan (yes I know about skin cancer and all that) but can be equally happy with a woman with pale but natural and healthy skin. Too much tanning is no good, Swedes were never designed to look like Arabs haha.
Not guy but I like the way natural tans look despite being the color of a glass of a milk. Seeing the aftermath of punch biopsies and what 30+ looks like from the sun...great motivator to stay milky.
Dang sun. WHY CAN'T YOU BE GOOD FOR US! WHY WHY WHY!?
p.s. my reasons are it reminds me of summer...not porno. LOL
I hate porno tan. It looks strange like manikins or something and doubled over with the fake orange tan stuff that looks even worse on todays cameras...yikes.
Blondes with tan lines are hard to beat. Light tan only really. Not a whole lot in the world that is more unattractive than a chick who spent too many hours trying to tan. They get that gross leathery skin and dried up hair. So gross looking.
Overall, I do prefer beach tanned (light tan) if they are young, and prefer older women 40+ who are un-tanned. Older women who are over tanned just appear to look older than they are - if they are avid over tanners.
I was looking at Good Morning America this morning. It looks like Sam Champion, the weather dude has some kind of spray or lotion tan. But he could just have on darker makeup. It's not cute.
I love tanned chicas. Too pasty is too Euro for me. But it can't look overly dark, like they've had a spray-on bronzer. And it has to be the right season.
As a female with blonde hair, I think having tan skin looks better on me than being pasty white. Since I want to keep my skin nice, my tan comes from a bottle and not the sun if I can prevent it.
Arg I hate te term 'pasty white'. Why not porcelain or ivory or peaches and cream? I must admit, I am jealous of gals with darker tones but it's so much nicer if it's natural. I've always thought Indian women were just lovely for this reason. I can't escape the association between a suntan and cancer, so seeing a tanned girl has a negative vibe for me.
How ironic that other ethnicities with darker skin covet light skin and use various bleaching methods to achieve it. We always want what we don't have.
