Hi,

I am moving to the Fort Mill SC area beginning of August and I am looking for a hair dresser that specializes in afro carribean hair. Can anyone suggest a salon in Fort Mill or surrounding area, I would be much obliged as me and my daughter need to have our hair relaxed at least every six weeks. I am sad to be leaving my hairdresser in Schaumburg Chicago as it has taken me a long time to find someone that I trust and have complete confidence in knowing that I will come out feeling happy with my style.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Yay we have participants! LOL.

But seriously folks, I used to be one of those door to door beauty sales people (can't mention names) but I've done it all. I guess part of me still loves playing with makeup- but its funny because I dont wear much of it. Anyway, ask away and hopefully someone will be along with some answers.

OH, my dream come true. Ask away you say? Where does one begin? What are these brown things sprouting on my face and how do I get rid of them? Age spots, my mother says with a laugh. Age spots are for old people, I'm only 38. All I had was my perfect complexion. Now I'm becoming the crypt keeper! All the department stores and door to door books are sooooo confusing. A cream for this a cream for that. I want one wonder cream for only $19.95! Preparation H doesn't do the trick for wrinkles, mom was wrong again. She is getting a real kick out my facial deterioration! HELP ME!!!

Is your mom Joan Rivers or someone like that who doesn't suffer ''facial deterioration"?? It's not funny to me at all! I know what you mean, a cream for this, a cream for that, this for daytime, this for night time, spend a fortune-but honestly does any of it really work? I am beginning to wonder.

Does anyone use products with alpha hydroxy acids- they're great for speeding up exfoliation if you're worried up outer layer skin discoloration and unevenness. Just make sure to use sunblock if using AHA products.

"Age spots" are a little tricky though- neutrogena came out with the 'visibly even' line and boy does this stuff work! Have you seen the commercials? I took the '2 week' challenge and it cleared up a small area of melasma I had on my cheek.

And the Garnier products- I could go on and on about those! Remember they made hair care (they still do) but they now have skin care. This -to me -is the best drugstore cream with vitamin C. I think alot of products claim to have vitamin c in it but their skin renew lotion is really potent.

I have used everything under the sun and very expensive stuff too. But I started young, like 26 with Clinique and then Lancome, now I shop Sephora and use Philosophy. I am 54 and look 45 yes I have a couple of age spots on my face, not many wrinkles. Exfoliation is an everyday thing for me, have to get one you can use everyday. Be gentle with your skin and don't forget your neck, it shows age first...I love this thread. I am a make up and skin care junkie!!!!
