Anybody change their eye color for the fun of it?

I currently have AcuVue 2 in Blue Sapphire (very obvious) and Solitica in Esmerelda (definitely more natural.) I'm really liking the Solitica lenses and contemplating another pair.

I just wish I could find a dark brown opaque lens. I have light brown eyes and would love to make them darker, but it seems most focus on light eye colors.

I am too chicken to stick something in my eyes. I think my brain would say, "Go ahead, poke that right in there," and my hand and eye would say, "Nooooo." My good friend left hers in too long once and ended up with bumps or something across her cornea. I'm skeered.

However, I am impressed with how much more natural-looking colored contacts are nowadays. I remember a girl in high school who had olive skin, dark hair and bright blue plastic eyes. They seem to be a lot more subtle now. I have hazel eyes and would like to bring the green out. Close up, they are olive green but from a distance they look medium brown. I'm wearing a sweater today in the green I wish my eyes were.

This thread makes me sad because my black-light reactive pink contacts just went passed their usage period and I had to toss them...

I love colored contacts and can't wait to order new ones for next year.

Way back before I had Lasik I had every color (Ciba) known to mankind! I used to change my eye color daily! In fact, I miss doing that and I'm thinking about getting colored contacts that are just plain - no prescription. I have nearly perfect vision since the Lasik.

I have been wearing colored contacts for over 15 years (yeah A very long time). I have very dark eyes myself and wear Freshlook. Although I never worn other colors besides browns, they are great. For dark brown eyes like myself I love the colors they provide. One day I may go outside my comfort zone and try a grey .

They also used to have a line called Freshlook Radiance, where they enhanced your eye color with shimmer. I LOVED them! I hear that people didn’t like it and its been discontinued.

It looks nice on some people, not so nice on others... Wish I could do it but my irises are the color of the blackest coal known to mankind, and no type of colored contacts would ever brighten them. Plus I had bad astigmatism and I can't afford colored Torics.

I do like circle lenses though... makes the eyes look ten times larger. Wow.

Those circle lenses look cool!

The problem I have with lenses is that my eyes are too light (light brown) so most colored lenses don't offer enough coverage.

I've changed my eye color a few times, but I've stuck with gray for a few years now, though my son would argue that my eyes/contacts are actually blue.
