Not feminine or pleasant at all but since you are butch so I assume you want to look like and be a man.

I am an business manager who works with hiring, firing, and training employees and a "woman" with a shaved head would not get the position, sorry to say. I am a manager of a real estate firm. But you may be able to land a job in a manly fields such as construction or landscaping.

Enigma, you know what they say about 'assuming', don't you? Just because she's butch doesn't necessarily mean she wants to "be a man", and to put "woman" in quotes is an asinine way to refer to her. The hairstyle does not make the woman.

Anyways, Rioe, I say go ahead and do it! If you don't like it you can grow it back to the length you have now, and you won't know if you like it til you try it! I have a few friends who've shaved their heads and just adored the way it felt, and the ease of it. It could slightly limit your options in the job industry, but as long as you look professional and presentable otherwise I don't think it should be a huge deal.

Unfortunately society will make all kinds of ignorant judgements about you. Honestly, if your employer can't look past this they're not worth your time and effort.

Of course with many adults the need to earn a paycheck may outweigh the need to factor in the fashion tolerance of a prospective employer.
