"Creepy"? No. There are some that I find perfectly nauseating, however. I don't wear much perfume, but I do have a couple that I like to use occasionally. I actually prefer men without it, simply because most of them don't know when to quit.

No, I like fragrance (in general, for men OR women). Unfortunately for me, my SO sees no point. I've gotten him fragrance before that goes unused. He smells fine without, but I do like fragrance on a guy, as long as it's used in appropriate amounts.

Perfume on women or cologne on men, neither do I care much for. After all they were invented to hide the reek of unwashed bodies. A minor amount of scent that is added to soaps is all that I care for. This is because I am sensitive to aromatics, they give me a headache with prolonged exposure. So while perhaps not creepy, it is a annoyance to be around people that drench themselves in the stuff.

I vastly prefer the smell of shampoo or soap to perfume or cologne and like MattB4, over-users of scent tend to trigger a headache when I'm in a closed space or close contact with them.

I find it amusing perfume companies are still enticing men to wear the stuff because they believe they'll get girls.

I completely agree. I find that people (mostly females) who are quick to call someone a creep are shallow and have lived very sheltered lives. Someone who has spent a good amount time in the gritty areas of LA, NYC, SF, CHI, etc. would certainly know what "creepy" really means.

I don't know. My husband usually just smells of aftershave. Sometimes he'll splash on Old Spice. *shrug* I like it. But if it was really fruity or musky? I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't call it creepy.

Amen.

I used to dabble with cologne until one lady friend told me she preferred my natural scent - even sweaty - to artificial aromas. I can't argue with the results of that bit of wisdom, so I've pretty much followed her advice to this day.

Of course, the 2-year-old bear-grease I put on my ponytail probably reeks a bit, but what the heck...
