Why are people saying "just buy Levis"? I bought a pair of Levis a couple of months ago and they have 84% cotton, 14% polyester, 2% elastane. My fault for not reading the label prior. They are so awful, they stretch out in weird spots and the material won't soften up. I remember when I swore by Levis and their jeans would last for decades. Now they seem like generic made-in-China crap, made to fall apart and be easily replaced.

I think we're seeing more mixed blends because it's cheaper, and I think the stretchiness in everything could have something to do with U.S expanding waistlines (I have never seen such a surplus of poorly-made clothing as I have here)

Here are a few places:

J Crew
Levi's 501 and 505 jeans are 100% cotton.
practically all Levi's jeans should be 100% cotton unless they specifically have a tag reading otherwise.
American Eagle - http://www.ae.com/web/storelocator/defau…
almost all there jeans are 100% cotton except for the skinny jeans and sometimes a one or two of the versions of other styles have 1% spandex
Abercrombie- Store Locator | Abercrombie.com
usually only 100% in the destroyed style
lucky brand - http://www.luckybrandjeans.com/about_whe…
not all of the jeans are 100% but a few are, this is a brand thats a wee bit pricey though
