here I was thinking stripper heels come off as trampy and tacky.

I may be a dancer, but I'm really not coordinated enough for heels higher than 3"...I wish I was though. I think heels are really sexy and I'm short enough to wear them.

I have a few pairs of shoes/boots with 4" heels, but they most certainly aren't "stripper" heels. They are much classier than that.

Yes, I do. Heels and boots, but only wear in the bedroom.

I can't walk in 4" heels outside the bedroom.

Why would I wear something which I find grossly uncomfortable and which my husband think makes me look trampy and is a huge turn off to him ?

So I would be wearing something which would damage my feet, make me feel like a *****, look like a drag queen ( being tall I do look ridiculous in them) and make my husband go "yuk" because it is a must for ALL women ? Says who ?

Some women hate them and yes as odd as this might seem some men find them repellent.

I agree. My boyfriend hates them too, as do I, so it's out of the question. Actually, I'm sure that the majority of my male friends think the same. Platform shoes here are a matter of just looking taller, not being sexy, and they're mainly worn by a minority of females with a very specific (and not very classy or attractive for most, it has to be said) sense of fashion, and by drag queens, who made them popular a few years ago.

Edited to add: A possible explanation for this is that stripclubs are very, very rare in my country (Spain), so there's no immediate cultural association between stripper shoes and sexiness.

It's my personal opinion, but sexy and flats don't even belong in the same sentence. There's nothing sexy about them.

I wear platform heels (3/4" stacked bottom bringing total height to 4") when I go out to bars & clubs. However, I only do it because I am short and it makes me look taller--not because the platform itself looks great. I also make sure to only buy shoes where the platform is the same color as the rest of the shoe, otherwise the overly visible platform can look cheap.

As for high heels and platforms going hand-in-hand with stripper shoes: they don't. Stripper heels are super high (sometimes as high as 5" with a big platform) and they don't have any classiness to them. They are usually strappy with some type of buckle or tie around the ankle or they are clear pumps. I don't consider small platform or "regular high heel" (3"-4") pumps to be stripper heels.

Not so. You can be sexy in anything. I can wear a nice skirt and flats. I'm hot and I know it.

If I'm going for a different look in the bedroom, then it's letto time.
