I am just curious as I recently grew a beard. I now have a full one. I grew it because I haven't been working or going to school for a little bit.

Since growing it, I feel I might have become the 2nd coming of Christ.
I say this because I am in the process of inventing a place that is like the kingdom of Heaven, but a bit different at the same time.
The theme song of it I declared was "Heaven is a place on earth". It is not an afterlife like many will have you to believe. It can be done right there.

Ok back to the scheduled program. Beards.
I am just wondering if some girls like beards on guys whether they are unemployed or are working a job? Do the ladies find them sexy? I look good with a beard, maybe better than most too and its with dark hair as well.

Hubby has a beard....keeps it neatly trimmed...not "long and flowing"...that's just nasty, IMO! He started growing his in his early 20's...and has had it ever since. He doesn't have a strong chin, and the beard really enhances his features. I have no problem with it!

I like when my fiance has a "clean" face more so than when he grows out his beard.

I dislike any kind of facial hair on a guy. I prefer clean shaven with short, neat hair.

I prefer guys without facial hair. Beards and facial hair in general do not feel nice against the skin.

Most chicks I've dated hate facial hair. They hate when I grow out my goatee or soul patch.

Preferences are purely subjectives, but I am totally put off by facial hair. I know this sounds shallow, but if I tried an online dating service and saw photos of 20 guys where 17 of them facial hair... I would seriously consider one of the remaining 3... and overlook the other 17. It is probably for numerous reasons... I don't like the way it feels... part of the face seems 'hidden'... It seems less groomed.

I live in the Mecca of Beards (Portland) but I do not like them. I do like long but trim (not bushy) sideburns, and trim moustaches. I happen to love long hair on men, even ponytails.

I can handle a beard if its kept trim and very close to the face.

DoctorRain, I know of your dream for Portland. Once you're here you will LOVE the freedom of fitting in with a beard.

I hate beards, moustaches, goatees, any kind of facial hair. I personally prefer a clean shaven man , much nicer to kiss IMO. I also find most men look better, and younger without a beard.

I also find men who "cultivate" a permanent 5' O clock shadow really odd. Either shave it off or grow up a beard.

I have seen men who were in their , fourties , fifties and sixties almost dropping 10 years off their age simply by shaving their beards off. Obviously this might not be so desirable if you are in your twenties !!
