Hello, I was wonder what product to use to get rid of some dark areas between thighs, between thighs and butt, in the underarms. I'm not fat but it is obviously rubbing on each other. Laterly i have been putting lotion on those spots. It helps but its not getting rid of the dark areas. Can anyone recommend a whitening cream or WHATEVER cream to get rid of these things!!!!!!

Try exfoliation. If that does not work speak to your doctor because skin darkening like that can be a sign of a nutritional or hormonal issue. Dove did make a whitening/smoothing deodorant. I don't know if they still do as they recently discontinued a few items.

I second seeing a doctor. Here are two links for you to read:

Insulin Resistance and Pre-diabetes

PubMed Health - Acanthosis nigricans

If it's not caused by any medical conditions, get a loofa and use it in the shower everyday. You may just have a build up of dead skin.

What kind of doctor. most deramtologists are women and i am not confortable at all showing every single area that has that. I def know it is not Acanthosis N. because the texture should be rough.

"Most" dermotologists AREN'T women...there are men, too! And, they're doctors..no matter what their sex...and they've seen it all.

There are cosmetic products that claim to lighten uneven skin tones....if you can use it on your face, putting it on your thighs should be fine. Give it a try!

MIkey, I kinda have the same problem and after having some surgery last year, I found out that what I probably have is hyper pigmentation. The doctor recommended a whitening cream which cost a little over $100 and I really don't think it is doing much of anything. I am also getting some laser treatments on the hyper pigmentation that I have on my stomach because of something that the doctor did inadvertently and those treatments are barely working. He did mention that there was another whitening cream that was stronger than the one he recommended but for now I think I'll just use what I have.
One home made thing that might work and I haven't taken the time to do, is to use lime or lemon and rub it in the spot you want to get rid of. Good luck. I know how it is.

You are describing really sounds like Acanthosis nigricans in my non-expert opinion. The skin doesn't become rough, it is typically described as "velvety". See a doctor, let them decide what it definitely is or isn't.
