For the life of me I can't understand why people care so much about people that have tats. And for the record, there are plenty of tattoos in the corporate world. And they aren't limited to the 20 something crowd.

Why don't they count?

Tattoos are just like clothing or hair styles, some people master the concept and look great while others are clueless and come off looking tacky.

So true.

Here is a vid of a friend of mine who has series tats. She's HOT because the tats are part of her entire persona and it symbolizes who she is as a person/artists/teacher/performer/yoga instructor. In other words, she's a bada$$ who pulls off looking great with tats.

Someone should have talked this Goliath out of getting this tat:

... Do not be offended ...

... They're tackey and useless. ...

How can you say "do not be offended" and start a thread under the guise of "just curious" () then go on to say "they're tacky and useless". Sorry, that's not curious, that's just looking for an excuse to tell everyone your opinion. Nothing wrong with having an opinion but why couch it as "just curious"? If you were truly just curious you could have asked specific questions then received some answers to those questions. And you could have said something to the effect of ..."OK - thank you for that information. It's not something I see myself doing, but it's nice to understand now why people choose to <fill in the blank>"

BTW - no tats here. I just figure "to each their own"....

You know, the OP is a new member, and I tend to be a bit suspicious of new posters, and usually with good reason.
Seems as though the OP has offended quite a few posters on this thread, and for no good reason.
For crying out loud, they are just tats.

I don't have tattoos but if I want one, I'll get a fish (Jesus symbol or a flower, something like that but very small). Why? I think most people know what the fish symbol mean. Do I need to have it on my body? I thought about it. I know we're suppose to treat our body like the temple but what about those who smokes and drinks?

I think it's just a matter of who thought about getting tattoos versus those who just get it because it's cool. I know a lot of Christians who has tattoo and some who don't have tattoos.
