I've decided, once again, this all comes down to somebody is selling a product.
Forgive me. Usually, I'm a little quicker on the up-take.
Look good for yourself. Look good because you have a wonderful man in your life. But don't let a few wrinkles ruin your day.

Suzanne Somers is gross, not to mention full of herself. I would pay money NOT to look like her. That's like telling me you know who did Meg Ryan's lips.

Retin-a is actually a 30 something year old prescription medication.I have read over & over & over that it is the one thing people wish they had started using sooner. I am passing along helpful & much needed advice. Some people don't think they are going to age & many are in denial about the socioeconomic dynamic. Ageism is and most likely always will be the cultural norm. What's wrong with preventing wrinkles.....I ate well, avoided sunlight after 30 but got them anyway beginning in my late 30s. Wish I'd used the Retin-a!

A lovely website about how easy it is to use Retin-a....
Welcome to Skinacea! - Happy Skin is Happy me
My only regret is that I didn't start using it sooner! 30 something ladies, don't play around with your looks....get on a good skincare regime *before* you turn 40.

So not aging gracefully is the "higher standard" now? Okey dokey.
I'm right with you, Zimbochick.

She turns 30 years old this year and even though she still looks better than your average chick, she's no where near the hotness she was at age 18. Ashlee Simpson with her nose job and all. I never really thought of her as being attractive (remember the stupid ho-down dance she did on SNL when she goofed up her song?) but while watching the movie "The Hot Chick" yesterday on TV, she made an appearance and she was SMOKING HOT!!! I mean SMOKING. She was about 17 or 18 years old then.
Bottom line people is that we all lose our looks as we age, so its important that we cultivate our personalities and try to stay in as good a physical shape as we possibly can so that we CAN age and still enjoy life.

That's because of smoking, drinking, and possible illegal drug use.

Fortunately I don't hang out with people who are so shallow, that they think happiness can only be achieved if, when you die, you LOOK good.
The people I hang out with, are too busy living to give two cahoots about how someone looks. You want to see one of the most beautiful people in the world? You should see one of my dear friends - she's I think 48. Skinny as a beanpole, has flaming red fuzzy hair down to her non-implanted chest, crinkles around her eyes, lilly-white skin, freckles, and "textured" skin. Physically, she's pretty. No raving beauty. But when I see her, I am in awe of her exquisteness. She OOZES beauty out of every imperfect pore. She spends most of her time divided between caring for her husband who has been suffering from ALS for several years and can no longer care for himself and STILL manages to be one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen, their equally exquisite daughter, and her business. She wears no makeup. She has no interest in botox. She is loved by hundreds of people, and when she is old and grey, there will be people lined up to take care of her.
You can't buy what my friend has. It isn't available in a tube of Retin-A, and it isn't available on a low-carb diet, or from a slab of salmon. People who are -that- shallow - that they think anyone who doesn't buy the creams and eat the foods are inferior and unattractive, will NEVER earn the right to call themselves beautiful. Even if they are physically flawless.

Looks matter. They matter in the workforce, they matter in dating. As we age, it's harder to maintain them. OP is just offering some advice in that department. You guys are being pretty hard on her...
