Seriously
Any other explanation as to why a woman would look better at 35 than she did at 25?

I have proof.

Ever heard of the word ugly duckling? You probably don't know about ex-Indian Prime Minister Indhira Gandhi. But try googling her pictures and see how she looked at 15, 25 and 50, when she was assassinated by terrorists. Even historians agree she looked better and better as she aged.

Or, your favourite Aishwarya Rai is an ugly duckling by her own admission. I have seen her in her early 20s when she was modelling. And let's take a look at her now. Would you argue she looks worse now?? Last I know she is pushing into her late 30s.

Well...I'd agree that weight loss (which would also assume healthy eating habits and regular exercise) would be one reason; but you asked for other explanations...so....how about:

less alcohol intake,
less sun exposure
more sleep
more confidence
better able to afford quality hair products/cuts
possibly less stress if one is trying to break into a demanding career at 25

etc etc.

Less stressful life, financial independence = access to better hair and skin products, better sense of style, more confidence.

Oh, those who have access to my personal photo album, my mom's turning 54 this year. Take a peek and tell me if she is looking any worse, she's way past 35

I looked my best at 35 in my opinion, but I had taken care of myself esp sun avoidance no smoking etc. I have found 40 to be the downside slope. If a woman is taking care of herself and is self confident 35 can be a very pretty year, I sure miss it....

So...at what age do men lose their looks, or is this another case of double standards.

Never in a stoichiometric sense. Depends on the individual.

Some women look hideous even at 21.

People crossing 70 can't be considered, as old age and senility introduces tangible physical change.

If losing your looks in your 30s doesn't bother you, ignore it & go on your merry way. But don't say you can be confident the same as you were in your 20s without putting some effort in to it. For me that meant doing some research & making a few minor investments. A $50 tube of Retin-a is cheap.... I've done TCA peels, have a Clarisonic. I'm somewhat high maintenance. Men say that bothers them but they lie.....people can't get enough of older chicks who look good for their age....or who at least *try*. Having nasty, dull, unmaintained skim isn't on my to do list in this life....
