What should I wear?
So, I'm not fashionally challenged but I'm no fashion diva either. Here's the deal:
Met a guy online and we have had a few convos. We are meeting tomorrow at 8p for drinks at a local wine bar. I clarified that its more just a "meet and greet", to put the face with the name and conversation, rather than a first date per say (hopefully that takes some of the pressure off). He is 14 years my senior but we have gotten along well in phone conversations. What should I wear?
I'm stuck between nice jeans, low heels and a nice top OR a simple black casual dress, w/ low heels. I want to come off as nice, cool yet interesting, not trying to dress it up too much nor seem to "young" either. I have an idea of what to wear but I would love to get some outside feedback.
Thanks!!

I vote for nice jeans with heels, a comfy tank with a nice (fitted) blazer.
It's a comfortable but fashionable look, and you'll have the option of removing the blazer and showing some skin if you feel like it.
I would save the dress for a dinner date.
Good luck!!

Since you say it's a casual dress, I think the dress is better. For 8 PM, I think the jeans are too daywear. If it's a dress you would wear to go out to dinner with the girls, then I think it would be a good choice.
I'd probably wear some really artsy dangling earrings too. If the old guy screws up his face and asks, "Were'd you get those things?" I'd know he is wrong for me.LOL

I agree with saving the dress for the dinner date.....I too would likely opt for the nice jeans (or nice slacks), dressy tank and heels. But then again, my "uniform" is designer jeans and heels, with a top that fits the season lol.

I pick the jeans, nice heels and a cute top. That's casual enough for a meet and greet. Plus, that's more of my style

Low heels!
Just in case he's of short stature.

And your point is...? It's better to check how he feels while wearing the shoes you normally wear.
