Finally!!!! People thought I was nuts when ever I asked about giving my super curly hair a body wave or perm to help control the frizz. I hate the pin-straight look and want volume and/or options.
Korean salons have been doing digital perms for quite some time, but I don't like the way those come out. I'd much rather have a body wave with big rollers.

I have a layered hair cut so I don't know if it would work for me but this article has an interesting on-trend feel to it.... finally people are admitting that the wavy hair look isn't effortless. If I go any longer I may look in to it, though hair color is my main priority.
My hair is effortlessly wavy if I let it dry naturally, but it looks like crap. The waves aren't even, they start partway down my head, and look generally like a grown-out perm. Maybe some people have naturally wavy or curly hair that looks naturally nice, but for me, my semi-wavy hair needs some assistance if I want to wear it that way. I could foresee embracing the perm again, although I was a freshman in high school in 1991 the last time I had one.
Did it mention if men are going to start getting them again too? Because in the 70's I had a few moments when guys left work on Friday with straight hair and came in on Monday morning looking like Harpo Marx.
I've always kinda liked big hair, to be totally honest.
