Apparently its okay to call healthy girls who go to the gym whales, but query the personality of one who would make such an assertion is not.

So:

I'll go the gym, be healthy have fabulous flexibility and core strength while the skinny minnies keep looking like they have no vibe or soul
This is about the 1000th iteration of this discussion on C-D, and that's fine, but I wish we could just agree to not make assumptions about people based on their body shape or size.

I agree. I find it interesting at the idea that anyone who goes to the gym is just doing it for weight loss. Clearly these people have never stepped foot in a gym.

One can be thin and curvy right? Its called muscles. This is what I consider the ideal body, and I go to the gym not to lose weight, but to put on muscle, get fit, strong, and have a healthy cardiovascular system. One has to eat enough and lift enough weights to get a body like this, definitely dont consider her skinny!

Now THAT is what a fit, healthy, sexy, active, woman is supposed to look like. I like this photo as well that was listed on that blog:

Exactly!
Truly motivating photos, and imo the definition of beauty.

To me, "beautiful" is somewhere in between Lao's gym girl (a little too buff) and Lemon&Lime's too-skinny girls...I would give the edge to the gym girl, though...maybe a little less definition.

I think Blake Lively looks fit and healthy. She's got the beachy look that I love but "pretty" is a personal preference.

The lady in the gym photo is scary. Kate Moss is not too fit either to me.

If that were true, you wouldn't point to women who have breast implants. If women were supposed to look like that, they would be able to without surgical enhancement.

I agree! Blake Lively seems like a healthy, happy person, and she is certainly curvy. I don't think of her as particularly thin, though, but we're back to the connotations of words.
