Oh! Well I like knee length skirts and dresses. I just don't like maxi-length dresses or skirts (unless it's a ballgown)

I like longer dresses on women, honestly I think women look more feminine and attractive in long dresses. Especially in the length the dresses were worn at in the 1950s.

The short skirt and short dresses that barely covers their behind is becoming a tired and stale look, though I never really cared for that look.

Fashion changes like skirt length are created by designers to create more sales. If they can manage to initiate a change in skirt length, people will stop wearing their short ones nd be forced to buy. Another example is the width of men's ties, changing over a few years from wide to skinny and back again.

Thank goodness I only have to wear them when interviewing or at board meetings.

I'm with you. Women should not cave to the dictates of fashion but wear anything that they are comfortable in that is appropriate to the occasion.

For me, I think knees are funny. You know how you can stare at your nose, or someone else's and think it looks awkward and odd? Well, I feel that way about knees, too.

At least you can go to a plastic surgeon about the nose - the knees, there is not much that can be done with without a noticeable scar.

I completely agree, I own a few knee-length pencil skirts and they look sharp! Turn heads more than I thought they would.

My legs look way too good to be covered up in a long dress or skirt. Thumbs down, I have not and will not participate in this trend.

Other than the fashionable trend reason, people do not wear longer skirts bc they have ugly legs, but bc they believe such skirts looks more elegant.

Why should I care about other people's reasons for wearing long skirts? What does this have to do with me?

Most of my skirts are short or medium lengths, (I also don't like to cover up my legs) but I do have few long skirts. Couple in a beautiful floral print and some are solid, in light cotton or silk material and flow when I walk. I think with a cute top, it makes for a nice trendy look.
