Several years ago through trial and error I found the self-tanners that give me a better and more natural tan are the ones with walnut (may be shown as black walnut) as the tanning ingredient. There have always been just a few of those. Right now I have Kiss My Face, went back to the hfs for more and they have replaced it with a brand without walnut. Walgreens is also replacing Kiss My Face.

Jergens (no walnut) gives a nice enough tan look but the aggravating thing is the sparkles included with the body lotion. I don't want to go about my daily business with glittery skin. Jergens makes a different one for the face, comes in a small tube labeled as Healthy Complexion and stores never keep it near the tanning body lotion.

Good luck with your tanning!

Can you brush the glitter off with that jergens? Or does it really stick until your next shower?

No, it's there with the cream, a done deal and fades along with the rest.

The best self tanner that I have found is Toma Total Tan. You can find it at Sally Beauty Supply or online. It's a darker brown shade, not orange looking and it also has a color guide so you know exactly where you are putting it.
