Big watches are the norm, now. Most Rolex watches, except for the very recent models of the past couple of years, are quite small by today's standards. I like women in big watches. I'm a Panerai fan, personally. Here's a pic of Heidi Klum wearing a 40mm Panerai watch - looks great!

I don't see why watches are necessary now that everybody has a phone gripped firmly in their grubby hands.
Imagine these Rolex watches on Rosanne Barr or Rosie O'Donnell - is it really the Rolex making the woman attractive or is it the attractive woman who can wear a watch well?

A nice watch says the same thing about a man that a nice suit/shoes/pen/breifcase do. The same cannot be said for a cell phone.
There is something very special about knowing you have a small, precise machine strapped to your wrist, IMO. But, as with all luxury items, there will be people that are fans and people that think it a waste of money. Who can say which is correct?
