I have one hoodie. It's pretty thick, made by Russel Athletic or Champion. I layer it in the winter, with a tee-shirt, under a sweatshirt, under the hoodie, and then I don't need a winter jacket. Just a scarf and gloves and I'm good to go.
As for the "fashion" concern and age - I'm 50, and I really don't give a flying fert what anyone thinks about my "fashion."
I love hoodies and use to have about 4-5 but now I have 1-2. I need more hoodies and sweaters though. $10-40. Would only go over $50 if it's really worth it.
I love them. I'd guess I have 10. (Cleaned out my closet last winter and gave 10 more to Goodwill.) If we go someplace like the Grand Canyon I'll buy a Grand Canyon hoodie as a souvenir. Most I ever paid was $65 at Disneyland because it had a very cool line drawing of Goofy on the front. (And I got a discount but I'd have still bought it. Love that hoodie.)
I own maybe two? I wear them in the am to take the baby on her walk and maybe in the evening if we take her down to the park.... I don't wear jeans in public much so hoddies don't go with my normal everyday attire (dress or skirt)
I don't own any. But last year I bought my husband, a 2XL dude, a thick fleece-lined hoodie for the winter, and I'm thinking of getting one for myself. They're on the rack again, and I may pick up a L or XL to fit over my sweaters in real cold days. The only problem is that they're all plaid. We'll see. But right now they're $29 on sale. Cool.
Hate those things with a passion! Such an appropriate name - you look like you're from the 'hood.
^^If I'm not mistaken, they're referenced as "hoodies" because they have a hood. Not because if one wears one it makes one a "hood"...........
Hate is a very strong word for an item of clothing.
