Fashion things you thought you'd never wear but...you gave it a try and ended up falling in love.

I was not in love with the idea of an infinity scarf. I thought it seemed dangerous.LOL. But I saw one in this pattern I loved. I picked it up thinking it was a regular scarf on impulse by the register. After getting it home I found it was an infinity scarf. Long story short I tried it with a few things and am in love. It never falls out of place and I can wear button down shirts again. It falls perfectly over the bustline and hides the gaps that can happen in button shirts.
And since it was made of out a thin material it didn't add too much bulk either.

Such a fool I was missing out on these gems. LOL

Stupid me, I go shopping so seldom that I did not know what these were. Seems like a great idea to me.

Don't you just hate shirts with the buttons in the wrong place?

I don't know if this qualifies, but I never thought I'd do my hair blond and had it red most of the time. Now that red is popular I am toying with doing it blond.

Love tall boots (calf), and scarves. Both are effortless and can make an outfit pop!

Capri pants! I always thought they were ridiculous---either wear shorts or wear full-length pants. But as we get older and our knees look a little saggy, it's nice to cover up with capris and not wear ankle length or below pants. I read all the stuff from fashion mavens about why the look isn't flattering to most people but so far the fashion police haven't arrested me....

Skinny Jeans: Back in '06 I swore I would never wear them and I felt that 99% of the population shouldn't either. My feelings weren't much different in '08. Then I gave them a try in '10. I don't know if I've adapted to seeing them on folks, but now I don't think twice about them. In fact, I think they're more flattering on me than bootcuts; They make me appear skinnier with a nice tush. AND my husband loves them on me.

Leggings on the second (and current) go around. Considering they were my staple in middle school/high school I thought that I might have to let this one pass me by this time around.
