So I have really boyish looks though I am 30 and get ID'd ALL the time. Do I really look that young? Is this a good thing?

I got ID'd up until I was around 42, and have always looked young. Now that I'm 44, I think it's ok

we kinda need pix to judge. I've found that certain restaurants/bars that cater to younger ppl (and those near active nightlife/clubbing) card everyone who looks under 40. But i've never seen anyone get carded at high-end foodie bistros.

If you want to look older, try growing a mustache & goatee. Also keep your hair cropped short & put styling product in to look professional. And maybe rock some eyeglasses with clear lens. My cousin who was in law school did that when interviewing with firms and it made her look much more serious & intellectual too.

Oh, try wearing more preppy traditional clothing, like wool blazers & baracuta jackets. This kind of look is starting to make a big comeback.

I have the same problem... I'm 25 and I got ID'd the other day buying a lottery ticket... I actually laughed and then asked the clerk if he was serious? I've been harassed in bars over and over because they didn't believe I was 18 or 21... But I'm just waiting... when everyone else looks old and haggard... we'll still look young and youthful

I had the same problem,-scratch that issue...It's definately not a bad thing or a problem. Would you rather look much older than your age? I too have always looked much younger than my age and I take good care of myself. Exercise, keep my teeth nice, etc. I am 37 now. Just turned it. And alot of people can't believe I'm past 28 or 29. I used to get offended by the old, "can I see your id". But now, I take it as a compliment. Enjoy it like some other poster said, because I know, it won't last forever..

I'm nearly 37 and I got carded going onto a casino floor a couple of months ago.

It's a good thing!

I think not aging so fast makes up for the minor inconvenience of whipping out your ID card every time you enter a licensed venue.

I used to get carded well into my mid-30s, and thought it was pretty cool.

Until they stopped.

Last month I was buying wine, and I got so excited when the cashier asked to see ID. I was like "Oh you're so sweet..." But then he told me that it was because I'd written "see ID" on the back of my credit card

Enjoy it while you've go it...
