9" inseams? Might as well turn my hat sideways and wear tons of gold chains and a big clock around my neck.

This is why I admired my grandparents so much. Theyd leave the house wearing orange pants, a blue blazer, and a beret. If you told them that wasnt the style theyd sternly say "I wouldnt be caught DEAD wearing any of that nonsense!". I was always thinking "man i cant wait to be old and have that attitude". Guess im there.

It's a surprise, but a place to get reasonable (i.e. not made for guys who are ashamed of their bodies) shorts for men is Cabela's, which specializes in gear for hunters. Maybe if you go around armed, you have the confidence to wear whatever you please.

See their item IK-901057, for instance (no, it's nothing like the bare-butt dude's shorts).

Longest pair of shorts I have are 17" from waist band to leg hem with a 6" inseam. And i totally feel like a slob when i wear them.

Most men these days just don't have any fashion sense. A lot of women don't either, but a greater percentage do. Hopefully a greater variety of styles will become popular for men, instead of the standard baggy T-shirt/super long shorts that most men wear.

My fashion sense is the sense to not care about fashion.

because they need run, so they want to wear shorts to make them feel comfortable....it is not ridiculous for me...just choose they like, and more convenient.

i know. i mean do you all realize just how annoying it is to put your leg forward and it only moves about 6 inches due to your shorts?

I agree with you! This isn't a style you would see me in. Mid thigh is as short as I would go for athletic type shorts.
