Another take on the matter is that the short short wearers, probably have different lifestyles and attitudes than you have. They are probably more liberal about expressing their sexuality and are simply getting more. lol
Well a lot of the posts that i see from girls are saying "eww thigh/leg hair". I dont see any posts that say "eww penis hanging out of your shorts". I dont know where you frequent but i have yet to see any "anatomy lessons".
I think the "anatomy lesson" has now become not the stray penis peeking out, but simply any hint at all that the wearer is male. Old school "normal fit" pants or shorts betray your anatomy in the way they move when you you stand, walk, or sit. It's an unavoidable result from the fact that men and women are built differently. The only way for that not to happen was for males to adopt styles that were so bulky or baggy that they fit like shower curtains--a sort of sexless unisex look if you will.

One important thing to remember is that back in the day guys could wear short shorts because they wore something called underwear. There wasnt a bunch of guys wearing boxers that almost reached their knees like today, they wore "tightie whities" and sometimes the shorter bikini styled ones. It wasnt until the 90s that the boxers became more mainstream and since nobody wanted their underwear longer than their shorts they started to buy shorts that were much longer than before. People eventually just got used to this and its become the norm.
These are standard issue gym shorts from the 70's. Everyone wore these. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them. I can't for the life of me figure out why men want to wear those ridiculous long shorts down to their knees, or the swim suits to their knees either.
