How important is a well toned male body? What "neck down" attributes do you size up first?

For me, it's important to know that he takes care of himself and cares about how he looks. I'm a fitness fanatic who takes care of myself, so I would want the same in a partner.

Definitly has to be well fit, no beer belly's here. The abs have to be in great shape, also the pecks, arms and legs. Being a runner my self and striving to improve my own body and shape I wouldn't consider less in a man. I also love the shaved head look, like Vin Deisel. Now you know what my husband looks like.

I always had an appreciation for overall mass & strength. And broad shoulders got you a lot further than a 6-pack. I was never into overly cut guys since they were usually on the thinner side, unless they were serious body builders.

Yes. He has to look like he cares enough about himself to put down the beer.

I don't like too much muscle definition, but I like some big, strong arms. I like the kind of body men get from working and being active outdoors much more than the kind of body they get from going to the gym 5 days a week.

This thread could be worded better. For instance, "How important...", relative to what? What's more desirable? A 9 body and 10 job or a 10 body but a 2 job? A 10 body and a 3 personality or an 8 body and an 8 personality?

Or "Do You prefer fit looking guys?"; Really, who wouldn't?

The neck down attribute most women size up first is the rear end - because that's where the wallet is located.

It's not a market research study. Go ahead and start your own thread if you're so worried about it. The other posters don't seem to be having a problem. Also, I find your assumptions about womens' preferences rather insulting to them.

My last boyfriend was on the thin side and wiry... I've been attracted to 5'6 chubby guys and 6'6 muscular guys. Honestly, I find myself attracted to many body types and find that your body can be changed, personality is a bit more difficult to alter
