I have Virgin Island Water, Royal Scottish Lavender, and Royal Water. I think I have a bottle of Aventus around somewhere that my father gave me, though I had to hide it from my nephew who visits, and likes to play with cologne, to the point of attempting to wear full bottles if left unchecked. Royal English Leather is also a classic, and the original scent.
You can always get samples to find the right scent for you, and when you are in NYC, the Madison Avenue store has helpful staff.

I love and wear VIW in the summer!! For some reason, I never thought to try it on my husband.

He may like it very much. I was a little skeptical, at first, but I received positive feedback from a variety of people, such that I found it was a good summer cologne for me.
