Blue, green and purple! Although right now they're red, for Christmas.

I don't paint my fingernails, either; they get banged up too quickly. A pedicure will last for a couple of weeks, especially in the winter.

I am currently in love with Lira from Borghese. It's a nice gold shimmer, and I think it may have been a seasonal color. I bought every bottle they had at my local stores.

I only use clear or white polish on my fingernails. My toenails are often painted a dark red or burgundy from Mac (e.g. Dark Angel).

But, for fun, my daughter and I paint our toenails in matching funky colors such as sparkle, zebra, crackle coat, glow in the dark fuchsia, etc. Or we'll paint each toenail (or every other nail) a different bright color. Or we'll polka dot or swirl multiple colors on one nail and even add stickers. And we usually paint our toenails for the holidays. We'll paint on red hearts for Valentine's Day. It's fun having a daughter to do this with! She gets most of her nail polish from Claire's or Justice.

Bright or dark colors. If it's too pale, then the toes look bland. I think because toes are usually viewed from a distance (unlike hands), a vivid color look best. I love a pale pink or nude manicure on hands, but on toes it just looks like you didn't paint them.

Right now, I have a pastel, mint green, but it is not too light.

I love going nuts with polish on my toes. Lots of purples and blues. Last week I did a lime green with black crackle coat on top. Today I have navy blue with glitter crackle. I'm a fan of dark colors.

On the toes I like:

French White
Starry Silver Glitter
Times Square Tangerine Creme
Fuchsia Shock Creme
Empire State Blue
Twisted Pink

Sometimes I put the OPI Black Shatter over my color, for a cracked appearance.
Most of the time just clear on my fingers, unless I'm feeling saucey!!
All the colors I use are OPI or NYC.

Anything bright or shimmery. Can't go wrong with hot pink, it's on my toes now. Not a fan of dark colors

I like matching nails and toenails.

In the spring/summer I tend to go for the almost-white, peachy nudes. In colder months, I go for corals, bright reds, very dark reds/berries. This is my favorite winter color:
