My son (24) has beautiful hair; it is dark, thick with some waves and he wears it in a pony tail when he leaves the house.
It is funny how women love his hair, he is always asked to take down his hair and a few have asked if they could touch it.

When we are in Hawaii it is no big deal, but when we are in Alabama the guys hate it and girls are fascinated.

Personally, I am accustomed to very short hair (we have spent most of our adult lives as an Army family) and I love Military haircuts on men.

In the end it is up to the guy how he wants to wear his hair.

Pony tails when you're young and have a full head of hair is fine.

Pony tails when you're old and don't have a full head of hair is stupid.

I think ponytails on the right guys are great (old or young). I have a friend who is 60, who's always been a hippy at heart and his hair is long, stringy and sparce, and wearing it either way, hanging down or pulled back, looks terrible and makes him look even older than 60.

On the other hand, I have another friend who is 59. He looks great with short hair, but once in a while he goes to the barber and gets a buzz cut. Both I and his wife (my best friend) think it looks horrible/silly on him.

Yeah you know, the dude can do what he wants, I get it. But if we are sharing opinions its rare that a ponytail looks good on a dude IMO. Esp the balding or in a business setting. No thanks.

Never cared for ponytails on men, even in the 60s/70s.

2013 and people still get this worked up about men with ponytails.... LOL... seems like a joke nowadays.

You see so many people with tattoo's all over themselves, studs in their faces, ear plugs, which are completely and utterly hideous btw.............

Clean well cared for hair in a ponytail gets people bent still... LOL... whatever...

If you can rock one, go for it.

Few can pull it off.

Here's a classic one that can.

You may find him attractive with the ponytail, but I don't.

Sorry, ponytails just don't do it for me and I can't think of one male (celeb or non-celeb) that I think looks hot or better with one.

Guy #1 was in his 40s, hair thinning at the crown (one step away from bald), sporting a 7-8 inch scraggly ponytail. Guy #2 looked to be close to 60, bald, with a thin, itty-bitty little ponytail, held back with a rubberband.

Forgive me, please, but why do men do this to themselves? Do they think they look good? Very unattractive, in my opinion. On the other hand, there's a 30-ish guy at work with gorgeous, thick, clean hair...I know a lot of women would kill to have hair as beautiful as his. He always wears it in a ponytail, and it looks great!

I'm sorry, but unless you have hair like this (see pic), you have no business wearing a ponytail. Signed, The Hair Police.

P.S. I am NOT criticizing bald men. Just crappy looking ponytails.
I totally agree with you!!!!!!
