Actually, I guess many feminists reject wearing high heels as it makes them feel like trying to please men.
We are talking about feminists because of UE's statement that the cultures that prize feminine modesty are misogynistic. Some other poster (Trimac, I believe) made a comment about heels make women feel empowered over the "silly men," i.e., that women who wear them are misandrist. Debsi said that feminism is simply the quest for equal rights between the sexes, to which you responded that many feminists are unfeminine manhaters.

So on one hand, we have women in heels portrayed as feminazi maneaters, and on the other hand, we have feminists portrayed as frumpy haters of men. I've heard the claptrap about how feminists are bitter, unattractive misandrists, but like I said, this was the first time I've heard that wearing high heels is a manhating thing to do.

That's like saying that women who wear corsets or fancy underwear hate men. Does not compute.

Neuling's pool of acceptable women grows smaller by the post.

I wore flats yesterday. My shoes today are very similar to these:

Sofft Vercelli Black Suede - Zappos.com Free Shipping BOTH Ways

I feel both feminist and feminine in either pair, how amazing!

I just don't see much connection between high heels and feminists...
As I said, I think many feminists are against dressing up for men, which might include high heels.

A woman can wear any shoes she wants, if her face, her figure, her behavior, etc. are not feminine, she will not be considered feminine

He and Trimac20 should start a club or something.

In any case you will always see a lot of misoginy on the Internet due to the demographics it tends to attract.

Being selective has nothing to do with misogyny. (By the way, you shouldn't use the word if you can't even spell it correctly )
Women don't like all men, either, they like some while they dislike others...

No one is denying you your selectivity. Everyone has preferences in their potential mates. The problem is your attitude toward those who don't conform to your preferences. That, my dear, is the misogyny everyone is picking up on. You can say "It's just my opinion. I'm allowed to think what I want." but just so you know, your opinions are misogynistic.

That's nonsense. I like most women, not just because most women don't wear high heels. And I can't even say that I don't like the rest, I am just indifferent to them. Maybe you should look up the meaning of the word...

C'mon people)))
I can wear high heels all I want yet in no way I feel offended by Neuling. I can see what he is talking about and what type of women is his preference.
So what's a big deal?
May be someone needs to feel a bit more secure, then you don't give a hoot about who sez what about YOUR choices and preferences?

i'd like to believe that. I barely wear heels. I see some women who wear 5-in heels and you can tell they're suffering from all that pain from the shoes yet they insist. I can heels creates sex appeal - same thing with makeup and flattering clothes.
