The topic came up on another thread about which type of shoe is more attractive/fashionable. So, of closed toe shoes, be they heels or flats or boots, do you tend to prefer:

Pointy toed
Round toed
Almond toed (http://www.christianlouboutinshoeshk.com/images/l/201105/13058780710.jpg - broken link)
Square toed

These are just examples, of course, and you can find an ugly shoe in any of these styles but I think these are pretty good generic examples of what each style looks like.

The kind that fit comfortably.

I do like square-toed shoes, and hate pointy-toed shoes. My feet don't come to points in the middle; why would I want shoes that do so?

I probably prefer almond-toed, with round-toed coming in second. Right now, pointy and square look a bit dated, but who knows, in five years they might be the height of fashion again.

Agree with this post but would put round-toed as #1 and then #2 almond-toed for myself. I think square and pointy look dated and actually just went through my closet and donated all my square and pointy-toed shoes I hope I don't regret this decision!

i loathe shoes with long toes, whether they be pointy or square. i keep hearing that high heels with long toes make your legs look longer, but they really don't. they just make your feet look bigger. and how the hell do people walk in those things?

Almond toe is more timeless to me. Round toes can seem too "girlish". I still have a lot of pointed toe shoes, but I don't wear them as often. I have donated all but one square toe, and it's not an obvious one.

No preference on my end when it comes to toe shape.

I dunno why but when I think of the pointy toed shoes, it reminds me of this cartoon character for some reason...

Don't like pointy shoes, didn't like them back in high school in the 60's.
I guess if your toes are real short they wouldn't get pinched, but mine
were a little longer and those shoes are uncomfortable.
Rounded or even squared helps.
