I have always gotten compliments about my hair/eye color. Oh well, my hubby seems to like it.

I always thought I have very similar coloring to Elle MacPherson (hair, eyes, skin)....

I have a coworker with natural blond (very blond) hair and dark brown eyes. Don't know her nationalities, I'd guess just a generic American mutt mix. She's quite pretty and looks very natural.

Men say the darndest things sometimes...don't they.

The stereotypical Scandinavian blond hair/blue eyes/white skin combo is only one look of MANY in the world (a look not even all Scandinavians have). I have a friend from the Netherlands with dark blond hair and light brown eyes, and I've heard people here stay stuff like "you don't look Nordic. Your eyes aren't blue and your hair isn't blond enough!"

I think you're thinking of women like Katherine Heigl, who is too dark-eyed to have hair that light.
Yes exactly...while even natural adult blondes with brown look a bit unusual, what I'm talking about is women like Katherine Heigl who obviously is nowhere near a blonde anymore. It works with a few women, I think Britney probably looked better when she looks blonde, but idk those like Elisabeth Hasselback or something just seem no different to a Japanese person dyeing their hair blonde. I mean it looks less weird, but still sort of unnatural to me.

You do realise a lot of children of European descent are born blonde? Probably most will end up brunettes, unless they're from Sweden or northern Germany.

The photos of those models confirms my opinions. Without sounding like someone from the Aryan brotherhood, fake blondes are a dime a dozen (think those Italian American women or Jewish women who dye their hair), but real blondes with blonde hair and blue eyes, that's what I'm talkin' about!

The bottom pic looks nearly identical to my friends' child. Really amazing - I'm going to show her this pic. Her 5 y.o. has light blond hair and very dark eyes. The mom is a dark Brazilian and the dad is a reddish/blond, blue eyed Irish.

The funny thing is that, when the mom is out in public, people often assume she is a "nanny" watching someone else's child! She gets very mad about this - people assuming she is "the help" when she is pushing her own child on a swing. She has people ask her what agency she works for - stuff like that.

I think what looks so unnatural is when you can see the roots (and you always see the roots when hair is dyed blond/lighter than it really is), and even more so when the eyebrows are dark!

I was thinking, as a guy, I generally don't find the brown eyes-blonde hair combo all that appealing. I prefer blonde women to have blue eyes (or green or at least light hazel), even if they aren't natural blondes. Brunettes can be just as beautiful as blondes, of course, and they can look beautiful with dark or light eyes. There's just something about blonde hair and brown eyes I generally find a bit unnatural.

What do you think?
I think my eyes are too big to really have blonde be the best color for how dark my eyes are. It looks sorta gothic...which I am too old for that to be cool anymore. LOL

It looks nice though if I am tan. More like elle's colors with darker brown eyes like the other model and child's eyes.

I love blue eyes on others. I only like some browns. I love it when people with dark skin have that honey brown eye though (natural and rare). Their eyes make me think of tiger eyes or golden topaz gems.

Brittany Murphy was another woman whose hair color was not quite right.

Actually, you are sounding like someone from the Aryan Brotherhood.

Most European children are NOT born with blond hair.
They are born with standard issue wispy light brown hair that falls out after about 6 months, and slate gray eyes, which will change over time.

Aren't some Australian aborigines and Melanesians born with naturally blonde hair too?

(I've heard of it and seen photos, though I've never actually met anyone.)
