I think Goober mostly wore that Jughead (Archie comics) sort of cap. Someone in that TV series wore a baseball cap backwards but I can't recall who it was.

I'm sure it wasn't this guy I was thinking about.

It's not common where you guys are/was in the past? When I was growing up everyone was wearing it backwards, even I did, I have to admit, lol. It's still common where I went to in the States.

I think guys who wear baseball caps regularly couldn't really care less about fashion.

Haha good one, I personally would not let the fashion police stop me from wearing one, I just wanted to see what the fashion-conscious thought about them.

The funny thing is that they've become fashionable anyway. I mean, what was that Von Dutch crap and the ongoing flat-brim fad in hip hop?

We may be talking about different eras but in eastern Texas where I grew up I don't recall many ball caps in high school (mid-1960s). I actually didn't wear caps until I came to western Texas where the wind is often blowing and I got tired of looking like Don King the boxing promoter. Also caps keep the bright west Texas sun out of your eyes.

Like the previous poster said, some of us don't wear caps for fashion but out of practicality. Any younger person wearing a cap backward is doing it simply because it is a fad. In my case, I may occasionally turn mine around simply because I am unable to get my big head into a tight spot where I am working.

Only reasons why I dont wear a ball cap backwards are:

1. I dont wear hats at all (grass dont grow on the playground).

2. If you look up you get the bill in the back (not a good feeling).

Then again, perhaps if more ppl wore caps they wouldnt be able to stick their heads up their.....

Sort of like a barbed hook that would be difficult to remove if they did manage, eh?
