I'm referring to shaving, as in men's facial hair. Many older males, such as my father, develop severe tremors either as a physical problem or reaction to medication. Shaving can be very traumatic, nothing like a shaking hand trying to shave your face. Plus he, like many elders, is on blood thinners, which can make any mistake much worse.

So any ideas, does this service exist any longer? Tell me where to search. His barber shop does not perform the service, so I'm not sure where to start. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

There is an expensive chain in my area that specializes in this: The Art of Shaving. It is a like a shaving bar.

It is also pretty common in Chinatown where I live too. Look around.

Thanks for the info, I'll call around and see if I can find anyone providing the service locally.

North Beach -- yep, been there, done that. He has a drawer full of them and hates each and every one--says none do a good enough job.

Of course....I think all barbershops still shave! Won't be '2 bits" tho! (Shave and a haircut...2 bits!) Remember that ditty?
