I can take or leave them either way, Just dont care for those big ol' gaudy sized stones, of any type.

Nope. Diamonds do nothing for me. Neither does Yellow Gold which I loathe.
I love Silver, Pewter, Pearls, Opals, Moonstones and Aquamarines when it comes to Jewellery.
Preferably recycled /antique ones so there is no heavy environmental/ethical price attached to it.

I love those stones also. My birthstone is emerald which has always been my favorite stone and color - color of my hubby's eyes. My kid's birthstones are ruby and sapphire which also works out nicely for me. Hubby buys me jewelry with these 3 meaningful stones.
I do have some diamond/platinum jewelry I love (only wear diamonds with silver/platinum, not yellow gold). I like pearls too.
Chicago Field Museum has a breathtaking display of gems. I go just to gaze at their beauty! |

The special meaning is nice 
Definitely no yellow gold here. platinum/white gold is good!
I also don't like those rock type rings...(common engagement ring type). Would get in my way too much.. |
