I think you can get away with it if you are a tan shade or darker. I do think the linen color on a linen fabric looks nicer though.

The tie bar, cufflinks misconception is widespread, but who cares. They're actually a pain to maintain, button cuffs are easier.

Anyway, a day (http://www.flickr.com/photos/thehappyprince/7067832295/sizes/z/in/photostream/ - broken link) in the life of the crocodile. Reminds him. The crocodile needs to shave his hand and set a manicure appointment.

The white linen suit is a classic New Orleans style, however the Labor Day rule applies (don't know what Askmen was thinking). Wear the suit with a white shirt, black shoes and belt (rule applies), and a nice conservative tie.

Ew, not a fan.

White suits...okay for Mark Twain, F. Scott Fitzgerald. Other than that...painters?

White suit gets no love.

I actually have one closest to white that I rarely wear, but I mix the blazer with corduroy pants and it goes a GREAT job. But never have worn the full suit. It has dark brown pinstripes on it.

It's my only suit from Express. I never buy suits from them, though I like their shorts, shirts, polos and pants.

This is the one.
EXPRESS (http://www.express.com/photographer-suits-1456/control/show/3/index.ens - broken link)

Dark brown corduroy pants, long sleeve polo/sports shirt with crazy checks (something like what the dude wears here, can't find the same shirt I have, it's lighter pink and not a gingham check, instead it's thicker stripe) and this blazer above. Looks great. They keep telling me it would go even better with blue jeans, but I hate jeans pants and have a life mission never to wear one.

The bright pink ginghams another difficult peice to wear, unless you're tan or dark complection.

A throwback from the days of Jethro on Beverly Hillbillys and Maryanne from Gilligans Island.

The white suit, white shirt, and white shoes, IDK???

The crocodile's brown, just the way his mommas like him.

Another problem with the white suit - the right pair of shoes. That definitely can't be white.

Agreed. Just say no to white shoes. LOL

I think they look best with a natural lighter tone. Grey or brown depending on the tone of the fabric and other items that you have on.
