Another one of my favorite accessories is a good pair of Cowboy boots. I currently have a half-dozen pairs ranging from everyday wear to formal wear. I don't generally care for "exotic" cowboy boot materials but I DO have one pair of Alligator boots that I bought on a whim a few years ago. I really love my black leather Cowboy boots that were designed to be worn in a formal setting.

ML Leddy's is the only place I'd buy boots from. Lucchese boots are nice but I think Leddy's has them beat in terms of quality and craftsmanship.

How many here have a pair or two?

$400?! You should be able to find a HIGH QUALITY pair of Justin Boots, Dan Post, or Tony Lama for under $400. I've seen some nice boots start at about $150-$200 unless you're getting into exotic materials (Ostrich, Alligator, etc).

M.L. Leddy's, Lucchese, and J.B. Hill boots are about the top names in bootmakers and most ARE around the $400-$500 price range but they're well worth it.

Tehre are so mnay custom boot makers out there these days that make great boots. There is no comparison to a custom made boot to fit your foot.,

I'm probably the last person you would expect to wear boots, but being in Oklahoma for close to 8 years now, they are pretty much standard wear around here even in professional business settings. Of course I am talking about nice ones, not your ropers/cheapo Wal Mart $hit kickers. So I went to the old stockyard areas and got a pair of Rios of Mercedes Ostrich Boots for about $500. They were killer on my feet for about 2 weeks, but since then they fit like a glove!

I definitely splurged, but a good pair of boots can be had for $200 or less, with exotic boots for less than $300. One thing to remember with proper care, they can last for a very long time.

To the OP, I see you're in Phoenix. Maybe I was expecting the Arizona of old, but during a recent trip to "the Valley" I didn't see a whole lot of boots.

I'm a male and I bought my first pair of cowboy boots about 6 months ago and I really like them. I wish I had started wearing them years ago. They're brown suede leather. I got them on clearance for $100.00 at a western clothing store. Not very many people wear them where I live and I like to be unique. I usually combine the boots with a pair of bootcut jeans.

I'm a recent convert to the world of cowboy boots, and I LOVE them. I now have several pair -- every day, fancy, and frivolous (bright colors!). They always make you look like a badazz.
