BBC News - Art and clay-modelling class for plastic surgeons

"Plastic surgeons and medical students have been taking part in an art course aimed at giving them a better sense of form and perspective.
The University of Lincoln course, called the Art of Reconstruction, now in its second year, involves drawing and clay sculpture classes."

I'm not really sure what to think...I mean, what if they're lousy artists...no good at self portraits...does that mean they can't be a good plastic surgeon?....I also can't see how molding clay could even compare to molding human flesh.
