1. Houndstooth pattern
Yay- I like houndstooth, I would wear it to work.

2. Capes
Nay x 10- I think this is silly. I don't care how high fashion it is, I am not participating.

3. Animal prints
Yay x 10- I really want a new Victoria Secret leopard bra and I want Zebra shoes for going out at night.

4. Purple
Half yay, half nay- Depeonds on the shade. I would like it as an accent on a black or gray outfit. I can't imagine wearing a purple dress though, I would feel like Barney.

5. Bows
Ewww Nay- Again, I don't care what the people at Vogue say, bows make me feel like a little girl.

6. Chunky knits
Yay- It's good to be cuddly and warm. It's nice in the winter to not have to wear skin tight stuff all the time.

7. Metallics
Yay forever- I keep some metallic bags, I always use them. I think they're fun.

8. School boy look
Ummm nay for me- I don't wanna wear a vest. Maybe on some super model type girl it would look alright, but not for me.

Give us your vote on some of these top trends:

1. Houndstooth pattern ( Its okay I guess )

2. Capes ( ??? )

3. Animal prints ( Ive always liked leopard print )

4. Purple ( One of my favourite colours anyway )

5. Bows ( ??? )

6. Chunky knits ( ??? )

7. Metallics ( I'll pass on that one )

8. School boy look ( I like it, and still wear the schoolgirl look too )

Feel free to add your own too.

I dont care much for big gawdy jewelry or sunglasses, nor do I like spike heels though do own several pairs of chunky heel Docs and other stage gear.
Tight pants, yuk. I still like the loose fitting jeans a guy can move around in.
Low-cut jeans for the women are great but Im not sure about wearing pants that come all the way up to your chest, though they are trying to bring that back.

1. Houndstooth I like it.

2. Capes No, I don't want to look like a comic book hero. Okay for
Halloween though.

3 Animal prints Should stay on animals.

4. Purple Yes!, I like all shades of purple.

5. Bows Small ones maybe, but big ones look too juvenile

Default I left some out

Chunky knits Yes, not only are they warm and cuddly, but they hide
figure flaws too.

Metalics I don't think so.

School boy look It's o.k. but I don't know if it would look good on me.

I hate spandex, and it seems to be in everything!

I got a catalog that had a lot of modern, geometric prints. I thought most of them were kind of ugly.

I hate those "mom jeans" too. They make your torso disappear. I don't know who makes some of these things come back in style...ewww...what are they thinking?

1. Houndstooth pattern
Done right I would wear it

2. Capes
Ive seen people wear them well but I think all that material would be a nuisance.

3. Animal prints
As accents yes. Head to toe no.

4. Purple
Love warm purple and aubergine. Not crazy about pastels and blueish purples. Head to toe yes. Accents yes.

5. Bows
ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK

6. Chunky knits
Im old I get hot so I dont like pullovers but something jacket like would be fine.

7. Metallics
Maybe in accents. Im 5'10 thats a lot of shine to wear head to toe. Does jewelry count. I have lots of funky metalic stuff.

8. School boy look
Not sure what that is. I love vests The crazier the better. And Ive worn vintage ties as ties and as belts.

Feel free to add your own too.
What Id like to know is when are they going to start seling clothes that fit normal peeps. When I see peeps in some of the stuff they sell nowdays I have to ask. Do you own a full length mirror and did you look in it before you left . Just because its in style doesnt mean you have to wear it ya know.

Im tall and curvy and Im almost 58. I already have plenty of stuff thats shunk and doesnt fit. So why would I want to pay good money for pants that show the crack of my a$$ and jackets that are so short they look like I stole them from somebodies 5th grader. And whats up with the baby doll tops. Im sorry but anytime I see a large person(me) wearing one all I can think of is that dance in Fantasia. The ballet where the poor alligator tries to catch the hippo in the tutu and gets squished.

Okay Im done. Could somebody help me down off my soap box.
