There are other many other aspects of skin color that come into play now an thoughout history that are more common sense related:

Dark skin offers more sun protection.
Lighter skin makes a better foundation for tattoos.
Rich succsesfull people have been light or dark at times depending in if they spent their liesure time hiding from the sun or are on a boat in the Med.
Someone with very dark skin may be a better hunter at night and the opposite for the day.

Scatalogical porn stars?

I tend to agree with you. I find it amusing when people sometimes say they've had a mystical experience and saw Jesus. If they really did, how would they know it was he when the pictures are wrong?

That's what is the rage in India. It started with being paler on your skin arms, legs. That's not enough now. Girls want to be paler everywhere.

I think one marketing campaign slogan was "Protection, fairness, freshness".

I'd say putting bleach 'there' is a stupid thing to do.

And is it even logical for Jesus to be blond? I mean we all know the bible was written in Egypt, Isreal, Sryia etc. Are the people who live there blond with blue eyes? And why, if God is supposed to be for everyone, and represent all of us, would he only look like one narrow group of people.

I asked my dad this question when I was a kid. He agreed.

Jesus was a Middle Eastern Jew, More than likely he looked like your average Palestinean does today; light to dark brown skin, brown/black hair and dark eyes. Considering you can find all the different racial variations in the Middle East then and now, there is a possibility that Jesus was Sub-Saharan Black or North European White. There always that chance!

I just admit, I don't get it. Skin colour has nothing to do with beauty.
