Well then, you are old enough to know what you like and to pick out your own clothes!

How about these?

Levi's 559™ Relaxed Straight Jean - Blue Frost - 559 Relaxed Straight

I like the cut and color of them and they wash well.

I like them but the boot cut has to be 22" or bigger.

Well that is all personal preference. I don't like such a wide leg on a man, unless he's actually going to wear boots under his jeans but if that's what you prefer then that's what you are comfortable with. I can't argue that.

I like the wash on the Levi's slightly more than the Express jeans. They just look richer (and oddly enough, they are cheaper). I'm also partial because my husband wears them and they are very flattering on his build (5'10", 170lbs, athletic build...32x30).

I was desperate so I ended up buying it. I will return it now and get something else.

I think the dark white is line is just too much.

You do know that 70s had bell bottoms for everyone and they still sell those at vintage stores.

I just want the wide opening at the very bottom. Jeans has to hug the thighs. Do you like that Express Blake I posted? Why does he wear a 30" length if he is 5'10"?

The express isn't bad. I still prefer the Levi's.

He has short legs...hence the 30" length. He doesn't look unbalanced though. Ideally he should be buying a 31x30 but that size doesn't exist (or at least I haven't found it).

I don't personally like the wash, and imo Levi's uses not so good dye (basically, new jeans = "dress" jeans, which I usually prefer dark)... That said, it's a damn pair of jeans and it's $30. Unlike most $30 jeans, Levi's won't fall apart on you. I've got a couple pairs of 501s that I've had since high school (10 years, so not that long) that I've worn to death. I tossed one of 'em last year because the fabric just wore through in certain spots. That's a pair of well-made pair of jeans. The Wrangler's I bought at Wal-Mart because I just a few pairs of jeans all fell apart in six months. Not that I'm particularly easy on them, but that's pathetic. Unless I go asphalt surfing on them, there's no excuse of a pair of jeans not to last until the dye washes out of them (which then they start to show stains and usually get relegated to menial labor duty not long after).

I wouldn't pay $80 for 'em, but there's a good basic pair of jeans.
