I would like to discuss this subject because I, just like everyone else, have my opinions about it but I like to see other people's take on the subject. I will be the first one to admit that few things are more pleasing to me as a man than a nicely dressed and sophisticated looking woman with a great scent and with her hair nicely fixed up and make up. I can only speak for myself on this but I think the beauty and fashion industry is huge because women are highly regarded as symbols of beauty. What I like to know is; do you think women spend too much money on shoes, cosmetics, purses, perfumes clothes and other accessories such as jewelry? I personally have no problem with it as long as it is not causing them or their family a financial hardship. Like I said, I love an elegant lady and if buying all those things are getting the job done then more power to them. I would love to hear from ladies about this because I think most men will probably say they spend too much but everyone is welcome to contribute,

It really depends on the items they're buying; if they're buying high-end fashion trends just because they can, IMO, I think that's a bit wasteful.

I have the rule (for myself) that if I'm going to really splurge on a fashion item that's a lot more money than I would typically spend then it better be a a staple-item; meaning I wear it daily or weekly as a regular item.

I have to agree with that....if it's only a 1-time thing...it's simply not worth it.

If I'm really going to splurge, I buy fine jewelry. These days, it's too expensive to buy precious metals, so I'm not splurging so much.

Women's products compared to those for men-are way overpriced. But worth it!
I love dressing up and looking beautiful. I don't understand women who don't, as a rule.

I love dressing nicely, and looking and smelling beautiful, too.

Obviously, looking stunning every day is not a necessity. Having a roof over your head, food to eat, bills paid, savings, etc. are necessities. Thus, taking rent money to buy $500 shoes would be a foolish thing to do.

However, as long as the necessities are met, I don't see anything wrong with spending money on beautiful clothes, shoes, accessories, perfumes, cosmetics, and salon services. As long as the most important needs are met, why not? You only live once. I believe in enjoying my life.

I couldn't agree more. Go on and pamper yourself and stop traffic, I live for enjoying life and admiring the female gender. Nothing like a drop dead gorgeous woman well dressed smelling good and and wearing beautiful jewelry and turning heads. As a man I can't ask for more.
