Hi. I am 10 years post op. At age 19 I got saline implants under the muscle. I have never had any complications. They have been fantastic. I am so happy that I had them done.

But now I am wondering about long-term care. Is there a reason to replace them just because it's been 10 years? Or do I don't have to have them replaced? Anyone else that have had them for 10 years+?

Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks.

As long as you're seeing a doctor regularly (at least annually) and are staying conscious of any changes (remember ladies, you should touch your breasts every day), then there's no reason you have to have the implants changed.

A coworker's mother recently woke up to find one of her saline implants had gone flat. I think she's had them about 14 years? Somewhere in that ballpark.

Sounds like a question for your physician.
