Most the guys I know who are 6' 2" 6' 3" are at least 230-240. They're far from fat. I even know several guys about 5' 6" to 5' 8" that are 175-185 and aren't fat. When you can bounce a quarter off your forearms, you know you made it.
I agree I am 5'4" and I range between 160 and 163 and I am trying to go up to.170. I think I carry my weight fairly well. My pant size is usually 33 and I want to soon wear a 32 comfortably and as long as the shoulder to waist ratio stays reasonble a man will look ok but that ratio is important.

That looks okay on him because it's how you're used to seeing him, but it's really not a size the body was meant to handle. I looked it up, John Candy was 6'2 and, despite attempts to diet, always ballooned back to 325 (and more as he got older). He died of a heart attack at 43. I hope your friend is taking his size seriously, and not just writing it off as being the lovable fat guy.
My brother plays semi-pro baseball and most of the guys on his team are between 6'2 and 6'7 and over 230 lbs and are definitely NOT fat. In fact, he's 6'2 and weighs around 175 and his coach is always on his butt about needing to get above 190 if he's going to make it in the big leagues. 210 for a guy of that height isn't thin necessarily, but it certainly isn't big.

You probably look similar to that pic of the UFC fighter Matt Serra at that weight and height. Matt is 5' 6" and cuts down to make 170.

Like I said, overweight unless those extra pounds are muscle. Most guys aren't athletes or nearly as dedicated to fitness as many of the CD men claim to be.

Your 40 hours physical hard labor job plus the gym always helps.

Damn, JJ, those are some big a$$ baseball players. Certainly above average for MLB, no?

Yep, a quick Google search turns up the average size of about 6'1" and 196 lbs for MLB players as of '09.

Just for fun, as of '08, NBA players averaged about 6'7" and about 222lbs. NFL, circa 2006, avg weight was 248, per an ESPN article - can't seem to track down avg height for NFL players. Average NHL player is about 6'1" and 205lbs.
