I lost my favorite navel ring about two years ago and the ones I thought would replace it were too big. I'm 26 now anyways. So maybe I am just a little too old for it. My vice right now is tattoos.

Too old at 26? Nah! If anything, you're still young enough to make them look good.

You think so? I was considering getting it redone. Only thing is the guy pierced the bottom of my navel instead of the top.

I don't know if I could deal with that pain again!

He pierced the bottom? I think it's weird for a piercer to do that without the customer specifically stating that she wants the bottom done.

I never considered getting the bottom of my navel done. I really like the way the piercing looks on the top of the navel. Plus, getting it done on the top portion allows for a person to wear dangly jewelry without risking it dangling TOO low

Even if you use silver?

I can usually use real silver, yellow gold(iffy depending on the K), glass, plastic, surgical steel.

That is strange that your ears went crazy with the first piercing. Was it on the pair of earrings they used to pierce you with? Maybe it was the cleanser? That can happen.

I don't have any body piercings but I have done them. I think you can keep belly rings all your life as long as your stomach is flat/flattish.

Cute a little less kiddie:

It reminds me of asian themed jewelry that was big in the 80's and 70's.

Another more adult one:

I actually like that one alot. Its just a simple charm.

vintage and dangley for the daring:

mature and modern:

But yeh..anyway before I post a million links...lol...they do make ones that don't look like they are for 21 and younger only.

I LOVE the vintage and dangly one! I have a similar one but it's colored differently and doesn't dangle that much. I must order that one!

Something about my navel being on the smaller side and suggested I pierced the bottom instead because it looked better.

I said okay. I personally think it took a long time to heal and that is maybe why it closed. It's not hanging skin like the top part.

I do agree with the dangly jewelry. I just stuck to the small studded kind, and maybe that was why.

Maybe I should consider getting the top pierced this time.

I'd definitely go for the top. At least for me, it's a personal preference.

I think piercing the top also allows for a wider variety of jewelry to be worn.

This.

That and trying to wear one with jeans sometimes got irritating and it was in the way a lot. Maybe because of the way my waist is, but it was tough wearing pants or jeans and not have it hitting the ring constantly.

If I get my abs back to where they were 10 years ago, maybe I would get it again, but it's not a necessity now.
