Large eyes are a hallmark of child-like-ness.....so longer lashes that give the appearance of larger eyes will make you look more "child-like", if that's what you're going for.

Perhaps women want long, thick eyelashes because it's a fact that guys normally have longer lashes than women? People want what they can't have all the time.

^ The preference for large eyes - I wonder how innate it is. Look at all the Asian celebrities - most have large eyes, or at least not the slit-like stereotypical East Asian eyes. They also have narrow noses, not the broad noses common in Southern China and SE Asia.

In face reading (expression) large open eyes are connected to expressing honesty. Small eyes are not.
If you look at animals most predators have smaller close set eyes, their food has large wider set eyes.

I see the nose thing more so in men than women. (celeb vs. common)

Dunno what you mean, both men and women have the same broad nose.

Wearing cheap mascara when I was younger broke off my eyelashes.

I've dated several men with longer, fuller lashes than myself. Of course I was jealous.

My husband has gorgeous lashes. His bottom lashes are longer than my top! So envious.

I don't mean to be mean, but those fake lashes are always obvious and they are kind of ugly.
Even those super expensive extension things.

Gag.
