I have really fair skin and since I don't lay out in the sun, I look younger than I am. I am 43 but I am told that I look like I am in my low to mid 30's. Now if I can just keep the grey away lol! I see lots of people that I went to high school with who always go to the tanning bed and they look much older than I do. Tanning beds are bad news in my opinion.

I have a cousin who looks like Dakota/Elle Fanning with creamy white skin, light blonde hair and blue eyes. She would look awful with tanned skin.
I agree. Blond-hair and blue eyes with a deep tan does look so unnatural.

Ditto .... I get about 10 years my junior comments as well. I hated laying out in the sun it's boring and unproductive. Boy did that pay off. Smooth wrinkle free porcelain skin.

Hmm, true, but maybe this vampire craze will make pale guys trendy.

I know I have never liked pale guys. I think it is cute on kids up to around age 8 or 10. And then I guess my whole gender stereotyping starts up, and then I think blech. I like men who are olive or darker.

This thread is about why people are literally risking their lives to tan. Skin cancer is very serious. The millions upon millions of dark-skinned black women that exist on this earth would disagree with your notions about advantages.
