I work for as a marketing consultant. Typically, if I have a meeting the only rules are to dress above business casual. I don't typically need to go as formal as a suit.

General reactions I get are "you are so colorful, I should stop being so boring.".

Being colorful suits my personality more. (I am "bubbly.")

I heard in marketing you are allowed or even encouraged to wear more creative and colorful looks. That's great. I'm in accounting but also still very fresh ( less than 1 year experience) so I try to conform as much as possible. Hopefully one day I can bust out some bold colors.

It got chilly! I love sweater time.

Olive green cords, cream top with a tie at the neck, cream cardigan, brown flats with gold buckles. Abalone hair clip, no jewelry.

It can be true, also a lot is dependent on corporate culture too.

I work for a small company, and we generally do work with organizations with a business casual dress code. So most outfits I have will be more dressed up than the average employee at the client's.. If we worked with more financial industry clients in a more conservative metro area, then I'd probably dress a bit more conservatively. But my general style is classics in bright tones, so it pretty much fits in everywhere.

You might have more leeway than you think. I notice in general, color is fine but people are scared.

Thank you. I have them in black too and keep hoping Weitzman will manufacture/sell them in a brown. A girl can dream.

turquoise jeggings, light blue/turquoise abstract floral sort of peasant top, red peep toe flats. It is time for me to do laundry, so I needed to get creative.
