Nope. A free man doesn't wear a watch. And I'd venture to say that a free woman doesn't either.

I wear one every day and feel pretty free. I do need one with bigger numbers it's getting harder to read!

Before I retired, I wore one every day. I had a lot of things to do and keep track of. Once I retired...that was the end of the wrist watch. The exact time is not nearly as important as it was in the days I needed to keep track of things.

Never.

I use my cell phone as a time piece and the equipment I use at work has clocks on it.

Every single day, period. In the ocean, boating, hiking in the Grand Canyon, mountain biking, sitting at my desk, washing the cars, I don't care where it is or what I'm doing, I am wearing a watch. I have watches for everything, and there is always one on my wrist. And none of them are battery powered--all mechanical except for one solar charged Citizen sailing watch.

But I like watches.

I wear one daily. A basic Citizen eco-drive.

Don't walk into any fountains.

I love watches. Wish I could afford the higher end brands. Have a Timex Atlantis 100 digital watch for work. I had this model while in the Navy. One time the band broke and it fell into the bilges. Few days later I found it and it was still working. My other watch is my father's Bulova watch he got for his 25 years with the company. On many jobs, constantly holding a cell phone is grounds for firing. The guys I work with all wear watches and have a cell phone. We use the phone to respond to pages when working in an area that doesn't have telephones, like the roof of the hospital. Try seeing the time on the roof in bright daylight on your cell phone. For some phones, this is nearly impossible. If on a date, constantly pulling out your phone to check the time or check messages is rude. A strategically turned watch allows you to see the time without being obvious. I use the digital watch at work because I must perform specifically timed chemical water test for our boiler equipment. Using a Timex watch with Indiglo light is much easier in a movie theater and not nearly as bright. You pay to watch a theater, not sit and text all through the movie.
