I go through this on a regular basis. its terribly oppressive.
So that means you have to take it out on people on an online forum? I'll tell you what. YOU don't know what I have to go through on a daily basis! I may have soft shiny flowing hair, but it doesn't help me overcome the pain I have on a day to day basis due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. You don't see me calling out healthy people because I don't have what they have.

I have 2 good days a week, and those are days where I still have pain but I can walk. The rest of the days it is hard for me to put one foot in front of the other. Yet I don't come onto CD and trash people without such difficulties.
I could trash you right now. For all I know you are healthy without any joint disease, etc. So what should I do? Be like you?

He won't know because he can never understand the pain, and also because I don't drown in a pity party. I will tell him I've had pain, but never the degree....

I've actually been asked if I was mixed race on a few occasions. Instead of taking this as an insult to my race, I've said no and then thought how strange it was afterward.
That is not an insult to be asked if you're mixed race. In fact in the black community this could make a person's day.
No, but I've been in a room where suddenly someone decides to boast about a person they met who has "good hair" and "pretty lightskin"...I don't know why they decide to wait until I am in the room to do it. I've never seen black or mixed race people discuss this around whites or any other race. Sometimes I think they are subliminally sending me a message. Cause I hear it ALL THE TIME.

Get off your high horse. I discuss this with a black friend of mine all the time. We talk about her hair, my hair, everyones hair. Who even cares?
We touch one anothers hair and it is just no big deal. She doesn't stop talking about black hair when I walk into a room, that is ridiculous!

Your welcome. No, I didn't do that. You always act like you do. I don't think any hair is bad hair. Hair is specific to the person. I have seen some black women with their hair natural and cut pretty short. I tell them it is beautiful. If I could get away with it, I would do the same thing.

It wasn't one person saying what a beautiful woman she saw on the street in Boston.
So, yes, you are supposed to shut up and be quiet about it. She was not being racist nor was she saying anything against you personally. She was voicing her opinion of this woman she saw on the street.
