Not true. I see black women who are shaped like Buffy every day.
Look up the Hottentott Venus. Its been documented that black women are shaped like that naturally.
I guess its an extreme pear shape...nothing wrong with that.
Plus, she says she actually works out. Not sure about eating healthy though.
Nicki minaj is another one.

Well, I guess in all of my years in Miami and Boston I have never seen any woman with that figure.
There is a difference to me between a woman with a big butt and Buffy the body. I have seen women with that lower body but only with a chunky upper body as well. Maybe it's a regional thing. Maybe she has lypo. Who knows.

Not that uncommon. I see people with that body type a few times a week for sure. And I have relatives as well with similar and less extreme versions. There are a lot of pear shaped women out there.

I live in California, and I have relatives all over the east coast!

Her body is not uncommon; I see it all the time. I live in Florida as well, so...

SHE may have an exaggerated figure but just because you haven't seen women with that figure doesn't mean that they don't exist.

Mississippi consistently ranks as the #1 state for obesity and it happens to have the highest % of African Americans of any state per capita. I checked the CDC site and it's especially women who are obese there, almost 40%.

I don't think it's all genetic. It's culturally more important for white and Asian women to be thin. Part of this is socioeconomic in nature. Lower class white women have similar obesity rates as blacks.

If 40%.of women are obese in Miss.
Does that mean 60% of men are obese?

I don't know, from what I always see,men and women have similiar obesity rates per state.

Southerners are generally obese period, both black and white. People in that region are known to have very unhealthy eating habits, and don't exercise much.

And more impoverished, too. There's a pretty clear inverse relationship between socioeconomics and BMIs.
